Observatory orchard system DIVAE

Manager : Guillaume Charrier

DIVAE is the INRAE observatory orchard system established in six experimental sites in France, including the INRAE site in Crouël, where the PIAF is located. This network of experimental orchards dedicated to the observation of fruit trees has been deployed throughout France to assess the consequences of global changes. Established in 2015, this system allows to study the impact of different environmental conditions on the functioning of four fruit species: apricot, cherry, peach, and apple.

The initial objective was to study phenology, i.e., the seasonal rhythms of living organisms under environmental control: leaf senescence, bud break, flowering, and fruiting. However, the system is also dedicated to the observation and study of any other characteristic regulated by the environment.
